SRGAP1 Antibody (G-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects SRGAP1 of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-SRGAP1 antibody (G-10) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. SRGAP1, or Slit-robo Rho GTPase activating protein 1, plays a crucial role in cellular processes such as cell migration and axon guidance by facilitating Slit-robo signaling. SRGAP1 is primarily located in the cytoplasm and is expressed in key tissues including the kidney, testis, lung, and brain. SRGAP1 presence in these tissues is vital for proper neuronal development and function, as SRGAP1 regulates the activity of Rho GTPases, particularly Cdc42 and Rho A, which are essential for cytoskeletal dynamics. SRGAP1 features a highly conserved structure that includes an FCH (Fes/CIP4 homology) domain, a Rho-GAP domain, and an SH3 domain, allowing SRGAP1 to interact with other proteins and modulate signaling pathways effectively. Notably, in the presence of Slit, SRGAP1 binds to the CC3 motif in the Robo protein, enhancing GTPase-activating activity on Cdc42, which leads to the inactivation of Cdc42 and a subsequent decrease in actin polymerization. This regulatory mechanism is critical for maintaining the balance of cellular processes involved in development and response to environmental cues.
