SRGAP1 Antibody (D-11) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects SRGAP1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-SRGAP1 antibody (D-11) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. SRGAP1, also known as Slit-robo Rho GTPase activating protein 1 or ARHGAP13, plays a crucial role in cellular signaling, particularly in Slit-robo signaling pathways essential for cell migration and axon guidance. Located in the cytoplasm and expressed in tissues such as kidney, testis, lung, and brain, SRGAP1 contains a highly conserved structure featuring an FCH (Fes/CIP4 homology) domain, a Rho-GAP domain, and an SH3 domain. SRGAP1′s interaction with Robo protein, which mediates Slit′s repulsive effects, is vital for regulating Cdc42 activity, a Rho GTPase. SRGAP1 enhances Cdc42′s intrinsic GTPase activity, promoting conversion to inactive GDP-bound form, which leads to reduced actin polymerization. This regulatory mechanism maintains proper cellular dynamics during development and response to environmental cues, highlighting SRGAP1′s importance in neurodevelopmental processes and potential implications in various neurological disorders.
