SRF Antibody (A-11) is a mouse monoclonal IgM kappa light chain antibody that detects serum response factor (SRF) in mouse, rat, and human samples through western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). SRF Antibody (A-11) is available in non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. SRF (A-11) antibody targets SRF, a transcription factor that binds to the serum response element (SRE) to mediate cellular response to growth stimuli. SRF forms a ternary complex with accessory protein p62TCF at the c-Fos SRE for effective signal transduction, regulating gene expression in response to external signals. SRF also interacts with related Ets domain proteins, including Elk-1 and SRF accessory protein-1 (SAP-1), which share similar DNA binding properties and contribute to ternary complex formation. Post-translational modifications, including phosphorylation at conserved sites within SRF, are critical for functional regulation and activity in various cellular contexts.

When should the TransCruz reagent sc-25290 X be used instead of the standard form sc-25290?

Asked by: jerojero
Thank you for your question. We recommend using the TransCruz reagent form when performing ChIP or GelShift assays. This form can also be used in other applications such as Western Blot or IHC, but the dilution should be adjusted by a factor of 10 to account for the higher original concentration.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from poor resultsAt first time we tried 1:200 dilution and we could detect some week band at the the position corresponding to the molecular weight of SRF. However, after that we could never detect the band at all even at 1:100 dilution.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from GOOD for mES WBI could detect the SRF band with mES cell line lysate, but there are also some non-specific band.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A constitutive promoter elementOne of the features that can be used is that the serum response factor is a transcription factor that mediates the transient response of many cell gene stimuli, and we arrange it as a constitutive promoter element in our experiments.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from detect SRF by WBwe use this antibody to detect the target protein SRF and band is very strong and no background.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Results were great.SRF antibody gives very good signal, good specificity, Very efficient antibody indeed.
