    SEE ALSO...

SPSY Antibody (A-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects SPSY protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). SPSY (A-4) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. SPSY protein, also known as spermine synthase, plays a critical role in the biosynthesis of spermine from spermidine, a process vital for cellular growth and differentiation. Spermine, a polyamine found in nearly all living organisms, is essential for maintaining cellular functions and stability. Notably, the regulation of spermine levels is crucial, as a deficiency can lead to increased sensitivity of cells to anti-tumor agents, making spermine synthase a promising target for anti-cancer therapies. Anti-SPSY antibody (A-4) enables researchers to explore the intricate mechanisms of polyamine metabolism and its implications in cancer biology, contributing to the development of novel therapeutic strategies.

What blocking solution should I use with SPSY (A-4): sc-376294 monoclonal antibody for Western blot?

    Asked by: Dr Ninau Qelp
Thank you for your question. We recommend blocking with Blotto (either TBS Blotto A: sc-2333 or TBS Blotto B: sc-2335). Our Western blot protocol can be found here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/western-immuno-blotting
