SPPL2a Antibody (1C7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects SPPL2a protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-SPPL2a antibody (1C7) is available as a non-conjugated monoclonal isotype antibody. SPPL2a protein, also known as signal peptide peptidase-like 2a, plays a crucial role in intramembrane proteolysis, a vital physiological process that facilitates reverse signaling and membrane protein degradation. SPPL2a is a multi-pass membrane protein consisting of 520 amino acids and features a protease-associated domain, essential for function as an intramembrane protease. SPPL2a is particularly important for processing Fas ligand (Fas-L), a type II transmembrane protein in the tumor necrosis factor family, involved in regulating apoptosis and immune responses.
