SPF30 Antibody (D-11) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects SPF30 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). SPF30 (D-11) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. SPF30, also known as survival of motor neuron-related-splicing factor 30 or SMNDC1, is a crucial splicing factor that plays a significant role in the assembly of the spliceosome, a complex responsible for removing introns from pre-mRNA. SPF30 is primarily located in the nucleus, specifically within Cajal bodies and nuclear speckles, which are essential for RNA processing and maturation. SPF30 localization facilitates U4/U5/U6 tri-snRNPs recruitment to the prespliceosome, ensuring efficient spliceosome assembly. Disruption of SPF30 function can lead to severe consequences, including spliceosome assembly arrest at the prespliceosome stage, which affects gene expression and cellular function. SPF30 overexpression has been linked to apoptosis, highlighting a dual role in cellular processes.
