    SEE ALSO...

SPF30 Antibody (G-8) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects SPF30 in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). SPF30 (G-8) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. SPF30, also known as survival of motor neuron-related splicing factor 30 or SMNDC1, is a crucial splicing factor that plays a significant role in the assembly of the spliceosome, a complex essential for mRNA processing. SPF30 is primarily localized in the nucleus, specifically within Cajal bodies and nuclear speckles, which are important sites for RNA processing and assembly. Proper localization of SPF30 is vital for facilitating the recruitment of U4/U5/U6 tri-snRNPs to the prespliceosome, thereby ensuring efficient spliceosome assembly. Disruption of SPF30 function can lead to severe consequences, including the arrest of spliceosome assembly and potential cellular apoptosis, highlighting SPF30′s importance in maintaining cellular homeostasis and proper gene expression.
