SPCS3 Antibody (G-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects SPCS3 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). SPCS3 (G-7) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. SPCS3 protein, also known as signal peptidase complex subunit 3, is a 180 amino acid single-pass type II membrane protein that plays a crucial role in the endoplasmic reticulum by facilitating the removal of signal peptides from nascent proteins destined for secretion or membrane insertion. This process is vital for proper protein maturation and function, as the signal peptide directs newly synthesized protein to the endoplasmic reticulum, where folding and post-translational modifications occur. SPCS3 gene is located on human chromosome 4, a region encompassing nearly 6% of the human genome and associated with various genetic disorders, including Huntington′s disease and polycystic kidney disease. Using anti-SPCS3 antibody (G-7) in research can provide insights into protein processing mechanisms and SPCS3 implications in health and disease.
