    SEE ALSO...

SPCA2 (B-5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects SPCA2 of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF) and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-SPCA2 antibody (B-5) is available as non-conjugated form, as well as multiple conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC) and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. The family of P-type Ca2+-transport ATPases is made up of three subfamilies: sarco(endo)plasmic-reticulum Ca2+ ATPases (SERCA), plasma-membrane Ca2+ ATPases (PMCA), and secretory-pathway Ca2+ ATPases (SPCA). The SPCA1 protein (encoded for by the ATP2C1 gene) is a Ca2+/Mn2+-transport ATPase. SPCA1 localizes to the Golgi apparatus and, together with SERCA2, maintains the ionic milieu in the Golgi lumen. SPCA2 (encoded by the ATP2C2 gene) also localizes to the Golgi apparatus and has a higher enzymatic turnover rate than SPCA1 while having a high affinity for cytosolic Ca2+. The enzymatic properties of human SPCA2 and the restriction of tissue expression to the gastrointestinal and respiratory tracts, prostate, thyroid, salivary, and mammary glands may define a Ca2+-ATPase pump with a specific physiological role in secretory cells.

I can't get positive result for SPCA2 antibody in MCF7 cells. For WB, I only got one positive result at 75 bp once. But later on bands can be observed anymore.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-398330 P appropriate for?

    Asked by: AbPolly
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
