Sox-3 Antibody (16-C2) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects Sox-3 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Sox-3 (16-C2) antibody is available as a non-conjugated isotype antibody. Sox-3 protein, also known as MRGH or SOXB, plays a crucial role in regulating gene expression during development, particularly in sex determination and neurogenesis. Sox-3 is located primarily in the nucleus, functioning as a transcription factor that binds to specific DNA sequences, influencing the expression of target genes essential for cell fate decisions. Nuclear localization allows Sox-3 to interact with other transcriptional regulators and chromatin remodeling complexes, orchestrating complex developmental processes. Dysregulation of Sox-3 has been linked to various human disorders, including mental retardation X-linked with isolated growth hormone deficiency and hypopituitarism, highlighting Sox-3′s importance in both normal development and disease. With detection capabilities across multiple species, anti-Sox-3 antibody (16-C2) serves as an invaluable tool for researchers studying developmental biology and related pathologies.
