Can I use Sox-2 Antibody (E-4): sc-365823 mouse monoclonal antibody for immunohistochemical staining of CHIP assay?

Thank you for your question. We recommend this mouse monoclonal antibody, Sox-2 (E-4): sc-365823, for IHC(P) or immunohistochemistry on formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded tissue sections. We are not yet aware of any publications citing use of this antibody for ChIP or Chromatin Immunoprecipitation assays.

Yes. We recommend using a directly conjugated monoclonal antibody. NCAM (123C3): sc-7326 monoclonal antibody is available directly conjugated to either HRP (sc-365823 HRP), phycoerythrin (sc-365823 PE), fluorescein (sc-365823 FITC), Alexa Fluor® 488 (sc-365823 AF488), Alexa Fluor® 647 (sc-365823 AF647).

When should the TransCruz reagent sc-365823 X be used instead of the standard form sc-365823?

Thank you for your question. We recommend using the TransCruz reagent form when performing ChIP or GelShift assays. Sox-2 Antibody (E-4): sc-365823 X form can also be used in other applications such as Western Blot or IHC, but the dilution should be adjusted by a factor of 10 to account for the higher original concentration.
