sorcin Antibody (39-M) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects sorcin protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-sorcin antibody (39-M) is available as a non-conjugated format. Sorcin is a highly conserved protein, exhibiting 95% homology between hamster and human sequences, and plays a crucial role in calcium signaling within cells. sorcin (39-M) antibody recognizes a protein containing four putative calcium-binding domains, two of which are closely related to the "EF hand" motifs found in calmodulin, highlighting its importance in calcium-dependent processes. Calcium binding enables sorcin′s translocation from the cytosol to cellular membranes in a calcium-dependent manner.
