SOD-1 Antibody (C-8) is a mouse monoclonal IgG3 kappa light chain antibody that detects SOD-1 in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-SOD-1 antibody (C-8) is available in a non-conjugated form, specifically designed for researchers studying Cu-Zn superoxide dismutase-1 (SOD-1) in various biological contexts. SOD-1 (C-8) monoclonal antibody recognizes a crucial cytosolic enzyme that acts as a scavenger of superoxide radicals, converting them into less harmful hydrogen peroxide and molecular oxygen, thereby protecting cells from oxidative stress. This enzymatic function is vital for maintaining cellular health, particularly in tissues with high metabolic activity, where reactive oxygen species can accumulate and cause damage.
