SEE ALSO...

SOCS-4 Antibody (9J12) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects the SOCS-4 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-SOCS-4 antibody (9J12) is available as a non-conjugated format. SOCS-4, also known as suppressor of cytokine signaling 4 or SOCS7, is a crucial component in the regulation of cytokine signaling pathways, playing a significant role in modulating immune responses and inflammation. This 440 amino acid protein features one SH2 domain and one SOCS box domain, with the latter being essential for interaction with the Elongin B/C complex, vital for E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase activity. Through mediating ubiquitination and subsequent proteasomal degradation of target proteins, SOCS-4 maintains cellular homeostasis and prevents excessive signaling that could lead to pathological conditions. SOCS-4′s regulation of these processes underscores its importance in various biological contexts, including immune regulation and prevention of chronic inflammatory diseases.

hello, I ordered SOCS-4 antibody (sc-135566) I tried two different concentration as follow; 1:500 and 1:1000. non of them worked with WB ? so what is the recommended concentration ?

Asked by: daniah
Thank you for your question. In Western Blot application we suggest this antibody in a starting dilution of 1:200 (range 1:100-1:1000) with incubation over night at 4°C. For Western Blot, is it recommended to use denatured or non-denatured conditions with SOCS-4 (9J12): sc-135566 antibody?

Asked by: Trav11
Thank you for your question. We recommend this antibody for use in denatured Western Blot conditions. It has not been validated for use in non-denatured conditions. Please contact our Technical Service Department for further details or inquiries.
