SNX15 Antibody (B-8) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects SNX15 in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). SNX15 (B-8) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. SNX15, also known as Sorting nexin-15, plays a crucial role in intracellular trafficking and is characterized by its phox homology (PX) domain, which facilitates interactions with a variety of receptor types. SNX15 is encoded by a gene that produces a 342 amino acid protein and a 256 amino acid splice variant known as SNX15A. SNX15 is predominantly expressed in tissues such as skeletal muscle, heart, brain, kidney, spleen, thymus, and small intestine, where SNX15 localizes to membranes and the cytosol. SNX15 interactions with other sorting nexin proteins, including SNX1, SNX2, and SNX4, as well as the platelet-derived growth factor receptor (PDGFR), are vital for maintaining proper receptor processing and localization; for instance, overexpression of SNX15 has been shown to disrupt the maturation of insulin and hepatocyte growth factor receptors, leading to mislocalization of Furin, the endoprotease responsible for cleaving these receptors into their active forms.
