    SEE ALSO...

SnoN Antibody (C6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b antibody that detects SnoN in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). SnoN is a crucial member of the Ski family of oncogenes, which plays a significant role in regulating TGFβ signaling pathways. SnoN is primarily located in the nucleus, where SnoN forms homodimers and heterodimers, allowing SnoN to bind to DNA and function as both a transcriptional activator and repressor. The nuclear localization of SnoN is vital for interaction with Smad proteins, particularly Smad2 and Smad4, which are key players in the TGFβ signaling cascade. By associating with the MH2 domain of these Smad proteins, SnoN recruits the transcriptional co-repressor N-CoR, effectively inhibiting transcription and regulating gene expression related to cell growth and extracellular matrix production. Furthermore, nuclear localization of SnoN allows for rapid degradation in response to TGFβ signaling, highlighting SnoN′s role as a negative regulator of TGFβ-induced transcriptional activation. anti-SnoN antibody (C6) is an essential tool for researchers studying the intricate mechanisms of TGFβ signaling and its implications in various cellular processes and diseases.

When should the TransCruz reagent sc-133119 X be used instead of the standard form sc-133119?

    Asked by: AbPolly
Thank you for your question. We recommend using the TransCruz reagent form when performing ChIP or GelShift assays. This form can also be used in other applications such as Western Blot or IHC, but the dilution should be adjusted by a factor of 10 to account for the higher original concentration.
