SNAP 29 Antibody (E-5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects SNAP 29 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-SNAP 29 antibody (E-5) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. SNAP 29 plays a crucial role in regulating membrane trafficking and exocytosis, which are essential processes for neurotransmitter release and cellular communication. Located primarily on cytoplasmic surfaces of cellular membranes, SNAP 29 interacts with several key proteins involved in these processes, including vesicle-associated membrane proteins (VAMPs) and soluble NSF attachment proteins (SNAPs). Such interaction is vital for forming the SNARE complex, which facilitates vesicle fusion with target membranes, thereby ensuring proper release of neurotransmitters and other signaling molecules. SNAP 29′s ability to anchor to membranes and bind to these proteins underscores its importance in maintaining cellular homeostasis and effective communication between cells.
