SMU1 Antibody (JS-12) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects SMU1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-SMU1 antibody (JS-12) is available as the non-conjugated form. SMU1, also known as suppressor of mec-8 and unc-52 homolog, plays a crucial role in regulating alternative splicing, a vital process that allows a single gene to produce multiple protein variants, thereby increasing protein diversity from the genome. This function is particularly important in gene expression regulation and cellular responses to various stimuli, influencing protein production involved in critical cellular processes such as development, differentiation, and stress responses.
