SMOC-2 Antibody (F-11) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects SMOC-2 of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). SMOC-2 (F-11) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. SMOC-2, also known as SPARC-related modular calcium-binding protein-2, SMAP2, MST117, MSTP117, or MSTP140, is a secreted glycoprotein that plays a crucial role in the extracellular matrix, where SMOC-2 is involved in tissue remodeling, angiogenesis, and bone mineralization. Notably, SMOC-2 contains two EF-hand domains, a Kazal-like domain, and two thyroglobulin type-1 domains, which contribute to SMOC-2′s ability to bind calcium and interact with various growth factors. SMOC-2 is predominantly expressed in tissues such as the spleen, ovary, muscle, and heart, highlighting SMOC-2′s importance in physiological processes. SMOC-2 interacts with vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) and fibroblast growth factor (FGF), suggesting SMOC-2′s significant role in promoting angiogenic activity, cell proliferation, and migration. Furthermore, SMOC-2 is essential for effective growth factor-induced DNA synthesis, and SMOC-2 overexpression has been shown to significantly enhance DNA synthesis, making SMOC-2 a potential target for anti-angiogenic therapies.

Thanks for your question. SMOC-2 Antibody (F-11): sc-376104 is provided at 200 µg/ml. For Western Blot, is it recommended to use denatured or non-denatured conditions with SMOC-2 (F-11): sc-376104 monoclonal antibody?
