SMARCD3 Antibody (RN-18) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects SMARCD3 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-SMARCD3 antibody (RN-18) is available as a non-conjugated monoclonal isotype antibody. SMARCD3, also known as Rsc6p, CRACD3, or BAF60C (BRG1-associated factor 60C), is a crucial member of the SMARCD family and contains a single SWIB domain. SMARCD3 exists in two isoforms due to alternative splicing, both of which are expressed in various tissues, including the placenta, salivary gland, kidney, brain, trachea, uterus, prostate, testis, thyroid, spleen, and heart, with isoform 1 also found in adipose tissue and skeletal muscle. Localized primarily in the nucleus, SMARCD3 is an integral component of the ATP-dependent chromatin remodeling complex SNF/SWI, playing a vital role in nucleosome remodeling and the regulation of muscle development. Notably, silencing of the gene encoding SMARCD3 in mice results in significant defects in heart morphogenesis, underscoring SMARCD3′s importance in cardiac development. Furthermore, both isoforms of SMARCD3 directly interact with and serve as coactivators for several transcription factors, highlighting SMARCD3′s essential role in gene expression regulation and cellular function.
