    SEE ALSO...

SMAP1 Antibody (D-3) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects SMAP1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). SMAP1 Antibody (D-3) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. SMAP1, also known as stromal membrane-associated protein 1 or small ArfGAP 1, is a 467 amino acid peripheral membrane protein that plays a crucial role in clathrin-dependent endocytosis by localizing to the cytoplasmic side of the cell membrane. As a GTPase-activating protein for ARF6, SMAP1 is essential for regulating membrane trafficking and cellular signaling pathways, which are vital for maintaining cellular homeostasis and responding to external stimuli. SMAP1 is widely expressed in various tissues, including lymph node, spinal cord, bone marrow, adrenal gland, trachea, stomach, thyroid, and embryonic hematopoietic tissues. SMAP1 contains one Arf-GAP domain and exists in multiple isoforms due to alternative splicing events, with SMAP1 gene located on human chromosome 6q13. This chromosome encompasses 170 million base pairs, accounting for nearly 6% of the human genome, and is associated with various conditions, including Parkinson′s disease, Stickler syndrome, and a susceptibility to bipolar disorder.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-390553 P appropriate for?

    Asked by: jenniferc
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
