Slp2 Antibody (C-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects the Slp2 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Slp2 (C-4) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Slp2, also known as synaptotagmin-like protein 2 or exophilin-4, is a crucial 895 amino acid peripheral membrane protein that plays a significant role in vesicle trafficking as a Rab effector protein. Slp2 localization to the melanosome membrane and intracytoplasmic membrane is vital for its function, as Slp2 facilitates the transport of vesicles within cells. Slp2 features one Slp homology domain, two C2 domains, and one Rab-binding domain, with the Slp homology domain specifically binding to the GTP-bound form of Rab 27a, which is essential for regulating the movement of vesicles to their target destinations. Additionally, Slp2 is expressed in two isoforms due to alternative splicing, allowing for functional diversity in cellular processes.
