SLC35F3 Antibody (C-12) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects SLC35F3 of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-SLC35F3 antibody (C-12) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. SLC35F3, also known as solute carrier family 35, member F3, is a 421 amino acid multi-pass membrane protein that plays a crucial role in the transport of nucleotide sugars across cellular membranes, which is essential for glycosylation processes that affect protein folding, stability, and cell signaling. SLC35F3 is predominantly expressed in the brain, particularly in the cerebellum, highlighting potential involvement in neurological functions. SLC35F3 gene is conserved across various species, including chimpanzee, dog, cow, mouse, chicken, zebrafish, and Caenorhabditis elegans, and is located on human chromosome 1q42.2, a region associated with numerous genetic disorders. The adjacent positioning of SLC35F3 and TWIK-1 genes in certain pufferfish species suggests evolutionary significance, while the conservation of SLC35F3 gene across species underscores fundamental biological importance.
