SLC26A6 Antibody (F-5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects SLC26A6 of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-SLC26A6 antibody (F-5) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. SLC26A6, also known as Pendrin-like protein 1, plays a crucial role in the transport of anions across cell membranes, particularly in the kidney and pancreas, where SLC26A6 is predominantly expressed. SLC26A6 is essential for maintaining electrolyte balance and pH homeostasis in these tissues, as SLC26A6 mediates the electroneutral exchange of chloride ions for bicarbonate ions, a process vital for proper physiological function. The SLC26A6 gene undergoes alternative splicing, resulting in three distinct isoforms, each contributing to SLC26A6′s diverse functional roles. Notably, SLC26A6 contains PDZ interaction domains, which facilitate interaction with other proteins, enhancing functional versatility.
