SLC25A38 Antibody (B-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects SLC25A38 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). SLC25A38 (B-10) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. SLC25A38 protein consists of 304 amino acids, functions as a multi-pass membrane protein localized to the inner mitochondrial membrane, and is characterized by three solcar repeats. SLC25A38 (B-10) monoclonal antibody recognizes a crucial mitochondrial carrier that facilitates metabolite transport across the mitochondrial membrane, essential for maintaining cellular energy homeostasis and metabolic balance. SLC25A38 gene is located on human chromosome 3, a region harboring over 1,100 genes, including several implicated in various genetic disorders and cancer. Notably, defects in SLC25A38 gene are linked to nonsyndromic autosomal recessive congenital sideroblastic anemia, highlighting SLC25A38′s importance in hematopoiesis and iron metabolism.
