    SEE ALSO...

SLA2 Antibody (E-8) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects SLA2 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). SLA2 (E-8) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. SLA2, also known as Src-like-adapter 2 or C20orf156, is a 261 amino acid protein that exists in four alternatively spliced isoforms, which can localize to either the cytoplasm or cell membrane and contain one SH2 domain and one SH3 domain. Predominantly expressed in immune system tissues such as thymus, spleen, and lymph nodes, SLA2 plays a crucial role as an adaptor protein that negatively regulates T-cell receptor signaling, thereby inhibiting T-cell activation. This regulation is vital for maintaining immune homeostasis and preventing overactive immune responses that could lead to autoimmune diseases. Additionally, SLA2 interacts with Zap-70, a key player in T-cell signaling, and is subject to post-translational phosphorylation, which can modulate activity and interactions. The gene encoding SLA2 is located on human chromosome 20, which comprises approximately 2% of the human genome and contains over 600 genes associated with various diseases, including Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-398134 P appropriate for?

    Asked by: DefinitelyNotMatt
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
