Six2 Antibody (H-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Six2 in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-Six2 antibody (H-4) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Six2 plays a crucial role in kidney development and is involved in the regulation of nephron progenitor cells, which are essential for proper kidney formation and function. Six2 expression is predominantly observed in fetal tissues, highlighting its importance during embryonic development, while limited presence in adult tissues suggests a tightly regulated role that, when disrupted, may contribute to developmental disorders or diseases. Additionally, Six proteins, including Six2, interact with other transcription factors, such as Six4 and Six5, which can bind to the same DNA sequences, indicating a collaborative regulatory network that influences gene expression critical for organogenesis. Understanding Six2 function and interactions is vital for elucidating the mechanisms underlying kidney development and potential pathologies associated with dysregulation.
