SIK2 Antibody (B-12) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects SIK2 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). SIK2 (B-12) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. SIK2, also known as QIK (Qin-induced kinase), is a serine/threonine-protein kinase that plays a crucial role in cellular signaling pathways and is a member of the AMPK/SNF1 kinase family. SIK2 is involved in regulating various cellular processes, including metabolism, cell growth, and differentiation, making SIK2 essential for maintaining cellular homeostasis. SIK2 is ubiquitously expressed and rapidly upregulates in response to hormone activation of Qin, indicating SIK2′s importance in hormonal signaling. SIK2 undergoes autophosphorylation, a critical post-translational modification that can influence activity and interactions with other proteins. Elevated levels of SIK2 transcripts have been observed in Src-transformed cells, suggesting SIK2 may share targets with Src and play a role in oncogenic signaling pathways.
