    SEE ALSO...

Siglec-7 Antibody (A-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects the Siglec-7 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Siglec-7 (A-7) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates, providing versatility for different experimental needs. Siglec-7 plays a crucial role in the immune system, particularly in the regulation of natural killer (NK) cell activity; Siglec-7 is primarily expressed on monocytes and resident blood cells, where Siglec-7 inhibits NK cell cytotoxicity, thereby modulating immune responses. This inhibition is vital for maintaining immune homeostasis and preventing excessive tissue damage during immune reactions. Additionally, Siglec-7 is part of a larger family of sialic acid-binding immunoglobulin-like lectins (siglecs), which are known to interact with sialylated ligands, influencing cell-cell communication and immune signaling. Understanding Siglec-7 function and interactions is essential for developing therapeutic strategies targeting immune modulation in various diseases, including cancer and autoimmune disorders.
