    SEE ALSO...

SH3D19 Antibody (G-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects SH3D19 of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-SH3D19 antibody (G-6) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. SH3D19, also known as SH3 domain-containing protein 19, EBP, EEN-binding protein, EVE1, or Kryn, is a 790 amino acid protein widely expressed, with highest levels found in kidney, heart, lung, liver, skeletal muscle, and small intestine. SH3D19 primarily localizes in cytoplasm but can be recruited to nucleus by a fusion protein known as MLL-EEN (mixed-lineage leukemia-endophilin), highlighting potential role in cellular signaling pathways. SH3D19 regulates ADAM (A disintegrin and metalloproteases) proteins in epidermal growth factor receptor-ligand shedding pathways, crucial for various physiological processes, including cell proliferation and differentiation. SH3D19 contains five SH3 domains, important for protein-protein interactions, and may suppress Ras-induced cellular transformation and activation of downstream signaling proteins such as Elk-1. Translocation events involving SH3D19 have been implicated in acute myeloid leukemia, suggesting a significant role in carcinogenesis. Alternative splicing of SH3D19 results in expression of five distinct isoforms, adding complexity to functional repertoire in cellular processes.

Can SH3D19 (G-6): sc-377282 monoclonal antibody be used to stain formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tissue sections?

    Asked by: Randy McDonald
Thank you for your question. Yes, SH3D19 (G-6): sc-377282 has been validated for use in IHC with paraffin-embedded sections. We recommend performing antigen retrieval with sodium citrate buffer (pH 6) and heat. The full protocol can be found here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunoperoxidase-staining
