SH-PTP2 Antibody (H-2) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects SH-PTP2 in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). SH-PTP2, also known as PTP1D or Syp, plays a crucial role in cellular signaling by dephosphorylating tyrosine residues on proteins, thereby regulating various signaling pathways that are essential for cell growth, differentiation, and metabolism. SH-PTP2 is predominantly expressed in hematopoietic tissues, where SH-PTP2 is involved in the negative regulation of receptor tyrosine kinases, which are vital for the proper functioning of immune responses. Notably, SH-PTP2 contains two SH2 domains that facilitate interaction with phosphotyrosine-containing proteins, allowing SH-PTP2 to modulate signaling cascades effectively. The structural similarity between SH-PTP2 and the Drosophila gene corkscrew (CSW) suggests that SH-PTP2 may serve as a human homolog, further emphasizing SH-PTP2′s importance in developmental processes and cellular communication. By utilizing anti-SH-PTP2 antibody (H-2), researchers can gain insights into the regulatory mechanisms of tyrosine phosphorylation and its implications in various diseases, including cancer and autoimmune disorders.
