Set1A Antibody (G-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Set1A protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Set1A (G-6) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Set1A protein, also known as SETD1A or KMT2F, plays a crucial role in gene regulation as a component of the Set1 histone methyltransferase complex, which is essential for the methylation of histone H3 at lysine 4 (H3K4me), a mark associated with active transcription. This methylation is vital for proper expression of genes involved in various cellular processes, including development and differentiation. Set1A, along with Set1B homolog, exhibits distinct subnuclear localization patterns, with Set1A localizing to euchromatic nuclear speckles that don′t overlap with Set1B, indicating these proteins may regulate different sets of target genes and have non-redundant functions. Unique structural features of Set1A, including SET and post-SET domains, enable interactions with other non-catalytic subunits such as CGBP, ASH2L, WDR5, WDR82, and RBQ-3, further emphasizing Set1A′s importance in gene expression regulation and chromatin dynamics.
