SESN2 Antibody (F-1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects SESN2 in human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). SESN2, also known as sestrin 2, HI95, SES2, or SEST2, is a 480 amino acid protein belonging to the sestrin family of PA26-related proteins, which are crucial for cellular stress responses. SESN2 is primarily located in the cytoplasm and translocates to the nucleus under conditions of oxidative stress or DNA damage, highlighting SESN2′s role in cellular defense mechanisms. SESN2′s ability to relocate within the cell allows for modulation of various signaling pathways that govern cell survival and apoptosis. Nuclear presence of SESN2 can influence key transcription factors involved in stress responses, thereby impacting cell fate decisions.
