SEE ALSO...

Serglycin Antibody (C-11) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects Serglycin protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-Serglycin antibody (C-11) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates, providing versatility for different experimental needs. Serglycin, a chondroitin sulfate-bearing proteoglycan, plays a crucial role in the transport and storage of cationic granular proteins within secretory granules of hematopoietic cells. A protease-resistant peptide core characterizes Serglycin′s unique structure, essential for neutralizing hydrolytic enzymes and protecting granule contents. This structural feature allows Serglycin to associate with granzyme and perforin complexes, vital for granule-mediated apoptosis pathway utilized by cytotoxic T lymphocytes and natural killer cells. By facilitating granule exocytosis, Serglycin maintains normal immune function through elimination of virus-infected and tumor cells.
