SERCA1 Antibody (6D138) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects SERCA1 in mouse, rat, human, rabbit, and canine samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and immunofluorescence (IF). SERCA1, a member of the sarcoplasmic or endoplasmic reticulum calcium (SERCA) ATPase family, plays a crucial role in muscle physiology by mediating the uptake of calcium ions into the sarcoplasmic reticulum, which is essential for muscle contraction and relaxation. SERCA1 maintains low cytoplasmic calcium concentrations, preventing excessive muscle contraction and ensuring efficient muscle relaxation. SERCA1 is exclusively expressed in type II (fast) skeletal muscle, allowing for rapid and powerful muscle contractions. Dysregulation of SERCA1 can lead to impaired muscle function and has been implicated in various muscle-related diseases. Anti-SERCA1 antibody (6D138) serves as an invaluable tool for researchers studying calcium homeostasis and muscle physiology, providing insights into the molecular mechanisms underlying muscle contraction and relaxation.
