Septin 2 Antibody (F-1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Septin 2 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-Septin 2 antibody (F-1) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Septin 2 plays a crucial role in cytoskeleton organization and is involved in various cellular processes, including cytokinesis and membrane dynamics regulation. Septin 2′s ability to form heteropolymer complexes with other septins is essential for maintaining cellular integrity and facilitating proper chromosome segregation during cell division. Septin 2 has been implicated in neurofibrillary tangle formation, associated with neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer′s. Complex transcriptional regulation of septins, including alternative splicing, leads to multiple isoform generation, highlighting Septin 2′s importance in cellular function and potential as a biomarker for various pathologies.
