Septin 1 Antibody (B-8) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects Septin 1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-Septin 1 antibody (B-8) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Septin 1 plays a crucial role in regulating cytokinesis and forms heteropolymer complexes essential for cellular organization and growth. Septin 1 localization within the cytoskeleton maintains cell shape and facilitates cellular processes such as division and migration. Septin 1 interacts with other proteins, including Septin 2 and Septin 4, which are implicated in neurodegenerative diseases through association with tau-based paired helical filaments. Complex transcriptional regulation of septins generates alternatively spliced variants, highlighting Septin 1′s importance in cellular dynamics and potential role in various pathologies.
