SEMA7A Antibody (C-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects SEMA7A protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-SEMA7A antibody (C-6) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Semaphorin 7A (SEMA7A), also known as CD108, is a member of the semaphorin family, which consists of cell surface and secreted proteins that play crucial roles in cellular signaling and development. SEMA7A is approximately 750 amino acids long and features a conserved extracellular "semaphorin" domain that is essential for function, containing multiple cysteine residues that contribute to structural integrity. SEMA7A is primarily located on the cell surface and is involved in the regulation of axonal growth during embryogenesis, where SEMA7A repels growth cones from areas of high semaphorin expression, thereby guiding neuronal development. SEMA7A also plays a significant role in the immune system by negatively regulating T cell activation and function, making SEMA7A an important target for research in both neurobiology and immunology.
