SEE ALSO...

Sec10 Antibody (C-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects Sec10 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Sec10 (C-4) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Sec10 protein plays a crucial role in the mammalian exocyst complex, which is essential for the targeting of exocytic vesicles to specific docking sites on the plasma membrane, thereby facilitating the secretion of proteins and other molecules. This process is vital for numerous cellular functions, including cell signaling, growth, and tissue repair. Sec10 is one of eight protein subunits that make up the exocyst complex, which also includes Sec3, Sec5, Sec6, Sec8, Sec15, Exo70, and Exo84. Notably, Sec10, also referred to as the 71 kDa component of the rsec6/8 secretory complex in mouse and rat, has a molecular weight of 77 kDa and forms a subcomplex with Sec15. In humans, the Sec10 gene is located on chromosome 14q22.3, highlighting its evolutionary conservation and importance across species.
