SDHA Antibody (B-1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects succinate dehydrogenase A (SDHA) in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-SDHA antibody (B-1) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. SDHA plays a crucial role in the mitochondrial respiratory chain, functioning as a key enzyme in the citric acid cycle by catalyzing the conversion of succinate to fumarate while reducing ubiquinone to ubiquinol. This enzymatic activity is vital for energy production in aerobic organisms, as SDHA links the tricarboxylic acid cycle to the electron transport chain, thereby facilitating efficient ATP generation. SDHA is part of a larger succinate dehydrogenase complex, which includes three other subunits: SDHB, SDHC, and SDHD. Mutations in SDHA can lead to severe mitochondrial dysfunction, resulting in various disorders such as Leigh Syndrome and juvenile encephalopathy, highlighting SDHA′s importance in maintaining cellular energy homeostasis and overall metabolic health.
