SCYL2 Antibody (B-3) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects SCYL2 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). SCYL2 Antibody (B-3) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. SCYL2 protein, also known as CVAK104 (Coated vesicle-associated kinase of 104 kDa), is a 929 amino acid protein characterized by one HEAT repeat and one protein kinase domain. SCYL2 is primarily localized in the perinuclear region of the cytoplasm, the trans-Golgi network membrane, and clathrin-coated vesicles, where SCYL2 plays a crucial role in clathrin-dependent trafficking events between the Golgi network and endosomes. SCYL2 functions as a serine/threonine protein kinase, exhibiting kinase activity towards adaptor complex proteins, which may regulate the sorting of SNARE proteins and contribute to essential processes such as embryonic development. SCYL2′s interaction with various proteins involved in vesicular transport underscores SCYL2′s importance in maintaining cellular homeostasis and facilitating intracellular communication.
