Sck Antibody (R12.1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a antibody that detects Sck in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-Sck antibody (R12.1) recognizes Sck, a crucial neuronal adaptor protein that plays a significant role in cellular signaling pathways. Sck is characterized by its unique structural features, including an N-terminal phosphotyrosine binding (PTB) domain, a collagen homology (CH) domain, and a conserved C-terminal Src homology 2 (SH2) domain, which collectively facilitate interaction with tyrosine-phosphorylated proteins. This structural arrangement is vital for Sck′s function in mediating signal transduction, particularly in vascular endothelial cells where Sck is involved in the vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF)-induced signaling cascade. Upon VEGF treatment, Sck is recruited to the kinase insert domain-containing receptor (KDR) at tyrosine-1175, leading to enhanced tyrosine phosphorylation of Sck. This phosphorylation event is critical for the propagation of signals that regulate various cellular processes, including proliferation, migration, and survival, underscoring Sck′s importance in vascular biology and potential implications in pathological conditions such as cancer and cardiovascular diseases.
