    SEE ALSO...

SBNO2 Antibody (A-3) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects SBNO2 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). SBNO2 Antibody (A-3) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. SBNO2, also known as strawberry notch homolog 2, is a 1,366 amino acid protein that plays a crucial role in transcriptional repression, particularly in macrophages, where SBNO2 contributes to the anti-inflammatory effects of interleukin-10 (IL-10). IL-10 regulates SBNO2 expression in a Stat3-dependent manner, highlighting SBNO2′s importance in immune response modulation. SBNO2 exists in two alternatively spliced isoforms and is conserved across various species, including chimpanzees, dogs, cows, mice, rats, chickens, zebrafish, and Caenorhabditis elegans, mapping to human chromosome 19p13.3. SBNO2 is located near key genes such as GPx-4 and LKB1, which are also implicated in various biological processes. Chromosome 19, which houses SBNO2, contains approximately 63 million bases and is associated with several genetic conditions, including Peutz-Jeghers syndrome and spinocerebellar ataxia type 6, underscoring SBNO2′s relevance in both health and disease.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-515634 P appropriate for?

    Asked by: cjMara
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
