SATB1 Antibody (C-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects SATB1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). SATB1 (C-6) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. SATB1 protein, also known as Special AT-Rich Sequence Binding Protein 1, plays a crucial role in regulating gene expression, particularly during cell development and differentiation. SATB1 is primarily expressed in thymocytes and contains a unique homeobox DNA-binding domain essential for DNA interaction. SATB1′s structure includes an additional domain exhibiting high affinity for DNA, allowing specific binding to nuclear matrix attachment regions (MARs) of DNA. These MARs are critical for organizing chromosomal loops and regulating transcription and replication within the nucleus. SATB1′s interaction with MARs is vital for maintaining genome structural integrity and ensuring proper gene expression, making SATB1 an important factor in cellular function and development. SATB1′s ability to synergistically interact with other transcriptional repressors, such as CCAAT displacement protein (CDP), further underscores SATB1′s significance in mediating complex gene regulatory networks.
