SART-1 Antibody (A-5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects SART-1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). SART-1 (A-5) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. SART-1, also known as squamous cell carcinoma antigen recognized by T cells, Ara1, HOMS1, or Snu66, plays a crucial role in mRNA splicing and cell proliferation, making SART-1 significant in cancer biology and therapeutic research. SART-1 protein is primarily localized in the nucleus of proliferating cells, where SART-1 is involved in gene expression regulation and spliceosome assembly, a complex essential for pre-mRNA splicing. Notably, SART-1 undergoes post-transcriptional modifications that yield two distinct protein isoforms: SART-1(800), which is the native form, and SART-1(259), which is expressed in epithelial cancer cytosol. While both isoforms contribute to cell proliferation, SART-1(259) contains a tumor-rejection antigen that can stimulate cytotoxic T lymphocytes in cancer patients, highlighting SART-1′s potential in immunotherapy. Furthermore, SART-1 gene variations may link to atopy, a condition characterized by allergic hypersensitivity, including eczema, asthma, and allergic conjunctivitis, underscoring SART-1′s relevance in both cancer and allergy research.
