SAMD12 Antibody (A-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects SAMD12 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). SAMD12 (A-6) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. SAMD12 protein, also known as Sterile alpha motif domain-containing protein 12, plays a crucial role in cellular processes due to involvement in RNA binding, which is essential for regulating gene expression and maintaining cellular homeostasis. SAMD12 consists of 201 amino acids and is encoded by the SAMD12 gene located on human chromosome 8, a chromosome that harbors over 800 genes and is linked to several diseases, including schizophrenia and various malignancies. The presence of the sterile alpha motif (SAM) domain, a 70-residue structure characterized by a five-helix bundle, allows SAMD12 to interact with other proteins and RNA, thereby influencing critical biological pathways. Understanding SAMD12 function and interactions is vital for elucidating its role in health and disease, making anti-SAMD12 antibody (A-6) an invaluable tool for researchers studying these mechanisms.
