SAF-B Antibody (F-3) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects SAF-B protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). SAF-B (F-3) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. SAF-B, also known as scaffold attachment factor B, plays a crucial role in nuclear matrix organization and regulates gene expression by binding to matrix- or scaffold-associating regions (MARs or SARs) on DNA. This interaction facilitates RNA polymerase II recruitment and serine-/arginine-rich RNA processing factors, essential for pre-mRNA processing and transport. SAF-B interacts with estrogen receptor, suggesting involvement in breast cancer biology, where SAF-B may influence cellular proliferation and division. SAF-B exhibits a speckled distribution in the nucleus under normal conditions but can be recruited to larger nuclear granules, known as perichromatin granules, in response to stressors such as heat shock. This dynamic behavior underscores SAF-B′s importance in cellular stress responses and potential implications in cancer research, making anti-SAF-B antibody (F-3) a valuable tool for studying these processes.
