RUNX2 Antibody (F-2) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects RUNX2 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-RUNX2 antibody (F-2) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. RUNX2 plays a critical role in skeletal development and mineralization, functioning as a transcription factor that regulates the expression of genes essential for osteoblast differentiation and bone formation. RUNX2 stimulates the differentiation of mesenchymal stem cells into osteoblasts for proper skeletal development and promotes chondrocyte hypertrophy, which is crucial for endochondral ossification. RUNX2 drives endothelial cell migration and vascular invasion during bone development, highlighting RUNX2′s importance in both skeletal and vascular systems. Dysregulation of RUNX2 expression can lead to various skeletal disorders, including cleidocranial dysplasia syndrome, characterized by skeletal abnormalities such as clavicular hypoplasia and supernumerary teeth. RUNX2 (F-2) antibody′s versatility in multiple applications makes this reagent an invaluable tool for researchers studying bone biology and related pathologies.

Do you have a RUNX2 antibody that reacts with sheep bone in IHC-P

Thank you for your question. Anti-RUNX2 Antibody (C-12) sc-390715 is recommended for detection of RUNX2 of mouse, rat and human origin by WB, IP, IF, IHC(P) and ELISA; also reactive with additional species, including and equine, bovine, porcine and canine. RUNX2 Antibody (F-2) sc-390351 is recommended for detection of RUNX2 of mouse, rat and human origin by WB, IP, IF, IHC(P) and ELISA; also reactive with additional species, including and equine, bovine and porcine. Neither of these antibodies has been tested on sheep cell or tissue samples so we cannot say whether or not it would also be reactive in such a setup.

does RUNX2 Antibody (F-2): sc-390351 antibody work in tissue from dogs and cats?

Thank you for your question. We would not recommend this antibody for dog or cat samples . There is a 68%homology in dog and 45% homology in cat.

This antibody works very well in IF when I use anti-mouse IGG or IGG1, but it doesn't when I use IGG2b. Are you sure it is IGG2b? I don't think so. Thanks

I have Runx2 ab tag with fluor 488, my question is can I use the ab for western blot detection.

Can this antibody be used for IHC or IF on mouse tissue samples?

You can stain mouse tissue by using a directly conjugated primary antibody. RUNX2 Antibody (F-2) is available conjugated to HRP (sc-390351 HRP), 200 µg/ml, for WB, IHC(P) and ELISA; phycoerythrin (sc-390351 PE), fluorescein (sc-390351 FITC), Alexa Fluor® 488 (sc-390351 AF488) or Alexa Fluor® 647 (sc-390351 AF647), 200 µg/ml, for IF, IHC(P) and FCM.
