Rsk-1 Antibody (A-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Rsk-1 of mouse, rat, human, and mink origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Rsk-1 (A-10) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Rsk-1, also known as ribosomal protein S6 kinase A1, plays a crucial role in cellular signaling pathways, particularly in response to growth factors and mitogens. Rsk-1 functions as a serine/threonine kinase that acts as a key mediator in the MAPK signaling cascade, which is essential for regulating cell growth, differentiation, and survival. Rsk-1 is primarily located in the cytoplasm but can translocate to the nucleus upon activation, where Rsk-1 phosphorylates various substrates involved in gene expression and cell cycle progression. This dynamic localization enables effective modulation of cellular responses to external stimuli. The Rsk family, which includes Rsk-2, Rsk-3, and Rsk-4, is characterized by the presence of two non-identical kinase catalytic domains, a feature that enhances their regulatory capabilities.
