RRS1 Antibody (H-5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects RRS1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). RRS1 (H-5) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. RRS1, also known as KIAA0112 or ribosome biogenesis regulatory protein homolog, is a 365 amino acid protein that plays a crucial role in ribosome biogenesis and chromosome congression, highlighting its importance in cellular function and division. RRS1 is primarily localized in the nucleolus, where RRS1 is essential for proper assembly of ribosomal subunits, and recent studies have shown that absence of RRS1 leads to mitotic delays due to abnormal spindle organization and chromosome alignment, which can have significant implications for cell proliferation and genomic stability. RRS1 gene is located on human chromosome 8q13.1, a region associated with various diseases, including schizophrenia and certain leukemias, underscoring RRS1′s relevance in both normal cellular processes and disease states.
